‘She was so dangerous’: where in the world is the notorious Ghislaine Maxwell?
In the months since Jeffrey Epstein died in prison, his former partner has disappeared. Will she ever return to face her accusers?
Emine Saner Thu 12 Dec 2019
….It was the mid-90s and this was the second time the two had met. Farmer had encountered Maxwell and her friend Jeffrey Epstein at her New York Academy of Art graduate show. She would go on to work for the pair for a year, at the front desk of Epstein’s Manhattan mansion. She was perfectly placed to see who came to the house – and says she witnessed young teenagers being brought through the doors by Maxwell. Following an alleged sexual assault by Maxwell and Epstein, Farmer went to the police. She was ignored.
More than 20 years on, her account – along with the testimonies of several other women, including an allegation of abuse from her younger sister, Annie, who was 16 at the time – has helped to create a picture of Epstein as a prolific sex offender, who abused countless underage girls. It is a scandal that has drawn in other powerful men, most notably Prince Andrew. One woman, Virginia Giuffre, says she was trafficked by Epstein to have sex with Andrew on three occasions. He has repeatedly denied the allegations, most recently in his disastrous TV interview.
In July, Epstein was charged with sex trafficking, and in August he killed himself in his prison cell while awaiting trial. Since then, attention has turned to Maxwell, 57, his right-hand woman. Yet Maxwell has seemingly vanished. “From what we know, Ghislaine Maxwell was a principal enabler to Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive,” says the lawyer Dan Kaiser. Kaiser is representing Jennifer Araoz, one of the women who says she was raped by Epstein, and who is suing his estate, Maxwell and three other “enablers”.
“She was integral in maintaining the sex trafficking ring,” says Kaiser. “She provided important administrative services in terms of the hiring of recruiters, and management of those employees, the making of appointments and dates for interactions between Mr Epstein and the underage girls that were providing sexual services to him. She also maintained the ring by intimidating girls, by ensuring their silence.”
Kaiser continues: “Jeffrey Epstein couldn’t have done what he did for as long as he did it without the services of somebody like Ghislaine Maxwell. She is as culpable, in my judgment, as Jeffrey Epstein himself.” Maxwell has always denied the allegations and has never faced criminal charges. Her lawyer has not responded to a request for comment….
Her social standing was such that it would probably be easier to list the influential people to whom Maxwell was not connected. She was close to Bill Clinton and attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding; she donated to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. There are photographs of Maxwell with Arianna Huffington, Elon Musk and Michael Bloomberg. She knew Donald Trump and members of the Kennedy family. She was connected to the British royal family through Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Maxwell and Epstein – who loaned Ferguson money to pay off debts – were guests of Andrew at events, including some at Windsor castle, Balmoral and Sandringham.
Prince Andrew, in his recent Newsnight interview, said guests at the parties and dinners in Epstein’s New York mansion included “academics, politicians, people from the United Nations”. But we know now that it was not just influential friends Maxwell cultivated. One of her friends, Euan Rellie, told Tatler: “Every single interesting, pretty, new girl to arrive in New York would end up going for tea with Ghislaine, then being introduced to Jeffrey. She was the acceptable face of a rather mysterious billionaire.”
….She was charming initially, says Farmer. “Everyone [was] like: ‘This woman is so intelligent and interesting.’ She had a really great personality when you first met her.” But it didn’t take long for her to become verbally abusive towards the staff, she says. “I was one of the staff. I would have to go to Jeffrey and say: ‘Ghislaine’s verbally abusing me again.’ Then he would scream at her. It was all like ‘good cop, bad cop’, and they loved playing that game with everybody.”
Once, she says, Ivana Trump visited. “Quite often, with people like Ivana – powerful [people] – Ghislaine would say ‘Hop in the car, you can go on a ride with us’ and it was supposed to be my special little treat.” Then, as soon as they were back at the mansion, Maxwell would switch and shout at her, she says. She also says she could be threatening. “They had video cameras everywhere [in the house], and Ghislaine liked to intimidate by talking about the cameras. She’d say: ‘They’re watching you.’”
Farmer alleges that Maxwell would bring in a steady stream of young girls to the mansion, often saying she was casting for Victoria’s Secret, the lingerie company owned by Leslie Wexner, a close friend of Epstein. “It was really weird to me. I’m like [the] ‘models are so young’, and she said: ‘Yeah, but they need these models for Victoria’s Secret. They go as young as 13 now in modelling.’” Farmer alleges Maxwell would recruit teenagers from schools on the Upper East Side and in Central Park.
….It is alleged that Maxwell was not only an enabler for Epstein’s abuse, but took part in it. In her Panorama interview, Giuffre, then known as Virginia Roberts, recounted how Maxwell and Epstein abused her at his Palm Beach house after Maxwell had recruited her from her job working as a spa attendant at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. In 1996, Farmer says Maxwell and Epstein sexually assaulted her. She went to the police as well as more than one FBI agent, none of whom took action. She also spoke to Ward in 2002 for a Vanity Fair profile – Ward has since said that the then-editor Graydon Carter cut out the entire part about Farmer and her sister after being pressured by Epstein. A spokeswoman for the magazine has said: “Epstein denied the charges at the time and since the claims were unsubstantiated and no criminal investigation had been initiated, we decided not to include them in what was a financial story.”
….Ransome, who says she was kept for six months on Epstein’s private island and claims she was raped several times a day, said: “They were never like a couple. Jeffrey and Ghislaine were best friends, or like brother and sister. Never holding hands or kissing. And she wasn’t his employee.”
When Maxwell found that Farmer had spoken out, she made threatening calls – Farmer says she has been in hiding “for many years”. “Ghislaine kept threatening my life. She found out where I was living, and she would send messages to me or I would get a call and I would have to move again. Most of her threats were veiled, like: ‘You better look over your shoulder because there’s someone coming for you.’ She told me she was going to burn all my paintings, my career was burned.”
In 2015, Giuffre sued Maxwell for defamation, after Maxwell said she was lying about the allegations she had made. The case was settled out of court and Maxwell began retreating from public view.
She was no longer seen in public with Epstein after his 2008 conviction for soliciting an underage girl for prostitution. For this, he was given an 18-month prison sentence, in a sweetheart plea deal that saw an investigation into his abuse of more than 30 underage girls (for which he could have been given a life sentence) shut down. He served just 13 months, much of it on day release.

The Day Jeffrey Epstein Told Me He Had Dirt on Powerful People
By James B. Stewart Aug. 12, 2019
Almost exactly a year ago, on Aug. 16, 2018, I visited Jeffrey Epstein at his cavernous Manhattan mansion.
The overriding impression I took away from our roughly 90-minute conversation was that Mr. Epstein knew an astonishing number of rich, famous and powerful people, and had photos to prove it. He also claimed to know a great deal about these people, some of it potentially damaging or embarrassing, including details about their supposed sexual proclivities and recreational drug use.
So one of my first thoughts on hearing of Mr. Epstein’s suicide was that many prominent men and at least a few women must be breathing sighs of relief that whatever Mr. Epstein knew, he has taken it with him.
During our conversation, Mr. Epstein made no secret of his own scandalous past — he’d pleaded guilty to state charges of soliciting prostitution from underage girls and was a registered sex offender — and acknowledged to me that he was a pariah in polite society. At the same time, he seemed unapologetic. His very notoriety, he said, was what made so many people willing to confide in him. Everyone, he suggested, has secrets and, he added, compared with his own, they seemed innocuous. People confided in him without feeling awkward or embarrassed, he claimed….
When I contacted Mr. Epstein, he readily agreed to an interview. The caveat was that the conversation would be “on background,” which meant I could use the information as long as I didn’t attribute it directly to him. (I consider that condition to have lapsed with his death.)….
Before we left the room he took me to a wall covered with framed photographs. He pointed to a full-length shot of a man in traditional Arab dress. “That’s M.B.S.,” he said, referring to Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. The crown prince had visited him many times, and they spoke often, Mr. Epstein said….
Behind him was a table covered with more photographs. I noticed one of Mr. Epstein with former President Bill Clinton, and another of him with the director Woody Allen. Displaying photos of celebrities who had been caught up in sex scandals of their own also struck me as odd.
Mr. Epstein avoided specifics about his work for Tesla. He told me that he had good reason to be cryptic: Once it became public that he was advising the company, he’d have to stop doing so, because he was “radioactive.” He predicted that everyone at Tesla would deny talking to him or being his friend….
Mr. Epstein then meandered into a discussion of other prominent names in technology circles. He said people in Silicon Valley had a reputation for being geeky workaholics, but that was far from the truth: They were hedonistic and regular users of recreational drugs. He said he’d witnessed prominent tech figures taking drugs and arranging for sex (Mr. Epstein stressed that he never drank or used drugs of any kind)….
About a week after that interview, Mr. Epstein called and asked if I’d like to have dinner that Saturday with him and Woody Allen. I said I’d be out of town. A few weeks after that, he asked me to join him for dinner with the author Michael Wolff and Donald J. Trump’s former adviser, Steve Bannon. I declined. (I don’t know if these dinners actually happened. Mr. Bannon has said he didn’t attend. Mr. Wolff and a spokeswoman for Mr. Allen didn’t respond to requests for comment on Monday.)….
Then early this year Mr. Epstein called to ask if I’d be interested in writing his biography. He sounded almost plaintive. I sensed that what he really wanted was companionship. As his biographer, I’d have no choice but to spend hours listening to his saga. Already leery of any further ties to him, I was relieved I could say that I was already busy with another book.
That was the last I heard from him. After his arrest and suicide, I’m left to wonder: What might he have told me?

Questions mounting over Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide

Attorney General William Barr said there were “serious irregularities” at the jail where Epstein was being held, and that they were “deeply concerning and demand a thorough investigation.”
Who’s who of Jeffrey Epstein’s powerful friends, associates and possible co-conspirators
By Eric Levenson, CNN Mon August 12, 2019
(CNN)Jeffrey Epstein’s death ends the criminal case against him, but his powerful friends and associates may not have heard the last of it.
US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Geoffrey Berman said the investigation of Epstein’s alleged conduct, including a conspiracy charge, remains ongoing, and Attorney General Bill Barr similarly said the case will continue against anyone who was complicit with Epstein.
“Any co-conspirators should not rest easy. The victims deserve justice and they will get it,” Barr said.
In addition, Epstein’s accusers asked a federal judge on Monday to invalidate the non-prosecution agreement that Epstein reached with prosecutors in the US Attorney’s Office in Florida a decade ago, which would give authorities “greater power” to go after his alleged co-conspirators.
Given that ongoing investigation, CNN took a look at the notable figures connected to Epstein who have been named in sworn testimony, as well as the major political figures with ties to him….
Epstein’s longtime associate was Les Wexner, the CEO and founder of L Brands, the parent company of Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works. After Epstein’s arrest on federal charges last month, Wexner acknowledged that Epstein was his former personal money manager and that he served as a trustee of the Wexner Foundation, the CEO’s charitable group.
He said he severed ties with Epstein 12 years ago and denied knowledge of his criminal behavior….
One of Epstein’s accusers said Epstein sexually assaulted her in Wexner’s home, according to an affidavit filed in a New York court in April as part of a defamation lawsuit against attorney Alan Dershowitz….
Giuffre has accused Dershowitz, the high-profile attorney who was part of the legal team that negotiated Epstein’s 2007 plea deal, of sexually abusing her.
Dershowitz has denied her claims and accused her of fabricating the allegations against him. He said in a statement that Friday’s release of documents “categorically proves that Virginia Roberts (Giuffre) never had sex with me.”
In April, she filed a separate defamation lawsuit against him, saying that he made “false and malicious” statements about her when he accused her of lying in making her accusations against him.
That case is ongoing, and Dershowitz has filed a motion to dismiss….
Giuffre has said that Epstein forced her to perform sex acts with a number of prominent men, including Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in 2001. In addition, another woman who said Epstein and Maxwell abused her said she was forced into sexual acts with Prince Andrew at Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion, where Giuffre participated as well, according to the unsealed documents.
In response, a spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said: “This relates to proceedings in the United States, to which The Duke of York is not a party. Any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue.”….
Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, seen here at a 1992 party.
Among Epstein’s powerful associates are presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton.
“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump told New York magazine in 2002. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
However, on July 12, Trump said that he threw Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club years ago….
A spokesman for Clinton said in a statement last month that the former president took four trips on Epstein’s airplane in 2002 and 2003. The statement said they also had one meeting in a Harlem office in 2002 and that Clinton made a brief visit to Epstein’s New York apartment with a Secret Service detail.
“President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” ….
Bill Richardson and George Mitchell
Finally, the documents unsealed on Friday in Giuffre’s lawsuit against Maxwell include allegations that Giuffre was instructed by Maxwell to have sex with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and former US Sen. George Mitchell, among others.
In a statement Friday, Mitchell called the claim false, adding: “I have never met, spoken with or had any contact with Ms. Giuffre.”
A spokeswoman for Richardson called Giuffre’s allegation “completely false.”….

The rise and fall of Jeffrey Epstein: A timeline of the financier’s troubles
By abc news investigative unit Aug 10, 2019
….July 8, 2019: In a stunning indictment, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York allege that from about 2002 to 2005, Epstein, now 66, “sexually exploited and abused dozens of minor girls at his homes in Manhattan, New York, and Palm Beach, Florida, among other locations,” using cash payments to recruit a “vast network of underage victims,” some of whom were as young as 14-years-old.
….July 12, 2019: An ABC News review of campaign finance records finds that Epstein donated to several Democrats throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. One of the biggest beneficiaries of Epstein’s contributions was then-Senate hopeful Hillary Clinton, who received $20,000 from him in 1999 through her joint fundraising committee with the Democratic Party, according to Federal Election Commission filings. Bill Clinton’s presidential campaign also received $1,000 from Epstein in 1992. The Clintons, along with Trump, were among Epstein’s vast network of high-profile rich and famous people who helped the former Wall Street insider turned private wealth manager rise to prominence in the early 2000s.
….July 25, 2019: Epstein is placed on suicide watch after being found unresponsive and with injuries to his neck at a federal lockup in New York City, a law enforcement official briefed on the incident tells ABC News.

There’s no video of Jeffrey Epstein’s apparent suicide: sources
By Larry Celona, Israel Salas-Rodriguez, Daniel Cassady and Bruce Golding August 11, 2019
There’s no surveillance video of the incident in which Jeffrey Epstein apparently hanged himself in a federal lockup in Lower Manhattan, law enforcement officials told The Post on Sunday.
Although there are cameras in the 9 South wing where the convicted pedophile was being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, they are trained on the areas outside the cells and not inside, according to sources familiar with the setup there…..
“Something is really troubling about that and I think it needs to be investigated extremely and very thoroughly to make sure there wasn’t any foul play,” Adams said.
New York Attorney General Letitia James, who said she’s toured the MCC, said she found it “very difficult to understand how something like this could have happened.”

Jeffrey Epstein autopsy results expected to be released Sunday afternoon
“My understanding is that he should have been on suicide watch and the people on suicide watch are placed in a type of jumpsuit that wouldn’t allow them to hurt themselves or others,” she said.
Federal prison officials violated normal procedures by leaving Epstein, 66, alone without a cellmate and not checking on him every 30 minutes the night before he was found, according to a report Sunday.
In addition, both of the guards overseeing the unit were working overtime, with one on his fifth straight day of extra hours and the other forced to remain on duty, the New York Times said.
Bob Hood, a former chief of internal affairs for the Bureau of Prisons, told the Times that it was “beyond me” why Epstein was taken off a 24-hour suicide watch following the July 23 incident, especially given the steady stream of humiliating news reports about him.
“A man is dead. The Bureau of Prisons dropped the ball. Period,” Hood said.

The Annual Child and Ritual Abuse Conference 2019 with Neil Brick, Alison Miller and Daniel Roemer
Next weekend, S.M.A.R.T. is having a conference August 17 – 18, 2019 in Connecticut. https://ritualabuse.us/smart-conference/
Neil Brick is a survivor of ritual abuse and mind control. His work continues to educate the public about child abuse, trauma and ritual abuse crimes. His articles are at http://neilbrick.com
“A Survivor’s View of Recovery from Ritual Abuse.” He will discuss how recovery from ritual abuse can take many years. This may include working through memories, building functionality and developing more effective ways of interacting and integrating emotions. He will discuss his long healing journey.
Alison Miller, Ph.D. is a retired clinical psychologist who practised in Victoria, B.C., Canada. She worked with survivors of organized abuse, including ritual abuse and mind control from 1990 to 2017. Alison is the author of Healing the Unimaginable: Treating Ritual Abuse and Mind Control (for therapists), Becoming Yourself: Overcoming Mind Control and Ritual Abuse (for survivors).
Alison will discuss via Skype “Deception by Organized Abuser Groups: Helping Your Front People and Your Insiders Recognize the Lies and Tricks Which Keep You Enslaved.” She will talk about how survivors of abuse by mind-controlling abuser groups have parts who have been trained to obey abusers because they believe lies the abusers told them. She will talk about how their power over survivors depends on their young parts believing the abusers’ lies. If survivors learn to recognize when their emotions and behavior are influenced by these deceptions, and to discover the ways in which they were deceived, they can increase their freedom from the abuser group. https://ritualabuse.us/smart/alison-miller/
Daniel Roemer’s directing has led him to receive such attention as USA Film’s Top 10 Emerging Director’s list at the age of 20, two-time Project Greenlight Best Director Finalist (Ben Affleck/Matt Damon), and student Academy Award State finalist by age 22.
Daniel will share his own story from his docudrama “Gray”, which digs deep into uncovering his abuse history, actual news articles from the time of the abuse, includes interviews with prominent locals and family members and his personal search for what went on.
Daniel will also conduct a film-making 101 class – to share the story, both technical and directorial how-to’s. Clinicians would also benefit in having these skills to share their methods of work. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1281008/
Special surprise entertainment will also be provided at the conference

Anthony Weiner gets 21 months in prison in sexting case
By Ellie Kaufman and Jean Casarez, CNN
Mon September 25, 2017
New York (CNN) Former Rep. Anthony Weiner was sentenced Monday to 21 months in federal prison for sexting with a minor.
In addition to the prison term, Weiner also was sentenced to three years of supervised release….
Weiner, the estranged husband of Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s former adviser, cried when the sentence was handed down….
The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Prosecutors recommended a sentence of 21 to 27 months in jail, arguing Weiner’s pattern of behavior “suggests a dangerous level of denial and lack of self-control warranting a meaningful incarceratory sentence.” Defense attorneys asked that Weiner receive probation….
Weiner’s probation terms require him to register as a sex offender. He must also participate in an outpatient sexual offender treatment that will be approved by the probation department.
The 15-year-old girl initially contacted Weiner through a direct message on Twitter in January 2016. Weiner and the girl continued to communicate on social media sites, including Facebook Messenger, Skype, Kik, Confide and Snapchat. The last three messaging applications delete images and messages after users view them.
Weiner asked the teen to “engage in sexually explicit conduct via Skype and Snapchat, where her body was on display, and where she was asked to sexually perform for him,” prosecutors said in a sentencing memorandum. Weiner was fully aware of the girl’s age when they were communicating, prosecutors said….
He resigned from Congress after a lewd picture appeared on his Twitter page in June 2011. At first, he claimed his account had been hacked but later revealed that he had lied. Sexually charged, sometimes explicit, texts with women also emerged around this time.
Weiner insisted his marriage with Abedin was intact. She gave birth to a son, the couple’s only child, six months later.
In 2013, Weiner sought to revive his political career by running for mayor of New York. Two months after he announced his candidacy, screenshots surfaced of sexual conversations that Weiner had with a woman the previous year….
During the 2016 campaign, it was revealed that emails from Hillary Clinton containing classified information were forwarded by Abedin to a computer used by Weiner. A decision by former FBI Director James Comey to alert Congress just days before the election about his agency’s investigation into messages potentially related to Clinton’s personal server has been cited by Clinton as a key reason she lost the presidential race. Investigators ultimately determined the emails were mostly ones they had previously seen and Clinton was ultimately cleared by the FBI two days before the election…..

Anthony Weiner sentenced to 21 months in federal prison
By Matt Zapotosky September 25
Disgraced former U.S. congressman Anthony Weiner, whose exchange of illicit messages with a teenager wound up playing a role in the 2016 presidential election, was sentenced Monday to 21 months in prison, authorities said.
The penalty marks a stunning downfall for the New York Democrat whose propensity for sending lewd photos to women repeatedly derailed his career in politics, and — in a roundabout way — might also have affected Hillary Clinton’s bid to become president.
It was federal authorities’ investigation of Weiner that led them to emails of his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, and the discovery of those emails ultimately caused the FBI, as the election campaign drew to a close, to reopen the probe of Clinton’s use of a private email server….
Weiner, 53, pleaded guilty in May to transferring obscene material to a minor, stemming from interactions he had with a 15-year-old who later described the exchanges and released images to the Daily Mail….
Prosecutors said Weiner knew that the girl was a minor and nonetheless asked her to engage in explicit conduct, which is a crime. They asked for a sentence between 21 and 27 months, arguing that Weiner’s misdeeds were “serious and his demonstrated need for deterrence is real.”
“The defendant did far more than exchange typed words on a lifeless cellphone screen with a faceless stranger,” prosecutors wrote in sentencing papers. “With full knowledge that he was communicating with a real 15-year-old girl, the defendant asked her to engage in sexually explicit conduct via Skype and Snapchat, where her body was on display, and where she was asked to sexually perform for him.”….

How Political Mind Control Works, Bill Cosby Faces Another Setback in Sexual-Assault Trial
January 10, 2017 Comments Off on How Political Mind Control Works, Bill Cosby Faces Another Setback in Sexual-Assault Trial
How Political Mind Control Works – Joe Brewer Jul 21, 2016
We were told the internet age would harken in a rebirth of democracy—or the beginnings of it in places where it has never been. That the power elites of old would be overwhelmed by the self-organizing masses. That the real power of centralized hierarchies would be supplanted by the new power of emergent social movements.
And now we have millions of people in the United States rallying against the system by supporting Donald Trump. We see that a choice architecture in our elections is structured to give us one of two pro-corporate candidates who serve the status quo logic of exploitative economic policies that funnel wealth from those very same self-organized masses into the bank accounts of themselves and their crony peers….
One of the most important discoveries to come out of this large body of research (spanning fields like psychology, linguistics, evolutionary studies, neuroscience, anthropology, and computer science) is that the human mind is physically structured to conceal the meaning-making process from conscious awareness.
We look out into the world and it “just makes sense” to us. Our brains wire themselves across our lives to recognize familiar patterns—filling them in where they only partially appear….
But we don’t have conscious access to the photons hitting our retinas to deliver this visual information into our skulls. We aren’t able to feel the part of our visual cortex that detects edges and boundaries or fills in colors as this information is sent on to other parts of our brains to signify emotional significance and produce “gestalt” meanings that arise fully formed in our awareness.
This is how our minds work. We construct illusions of meaning that we then act out as meaningful things while we go about our lives. We experience the world as richly structured and meaningful because our brains and bodies evolved across millions of years to become the cultural animals we are today….
I want to make the provocative claim that the illusion of power IS a kind of real power. This is how Donald Trump as a symbolic icon (or Hillary Clinton as a cultural meme) can wield so much influence to preserve status quo arrangements of economic and political power.
Throughout the history of our species, our ancestors spent 99% 0f their time living in small hunter-gatherer societies made up of a few dozen to a few hundred people. They were almost entirely egalitarian because everyone knew everyone else and would-be dictators were kept in place through dynamic processes of shaming, incentivizing, expelling, or in rare cases executing them….
But all of this changed with the rise of large, hierarchical city states after the birth of agriculture some 10,000 years ago. As division of labor arose across the growing populations in these settlements, it became possible for a power elite to take advantage of social divisions to divide the population against itself and stay in power.
Flash forward to the time when technological advances enable us to produce vastly complicated systems of education and communication. Where we have video and audio information merged into television content and a literate population capable of thinking and acting through rich “downloads” of culture telling them who to trust, where their people came from, what is good and just about the tribe they belong to, and how other tribes are the root cause of their woes.
This kind of environment “selects” for the use of propaganda to divide and conquer a population. It enables the stories about reality to float across the minds of many people (who then repeat them reflexively each time the relevant prompts are present in their environments). This creates a situation where the illusion of power is one of the most powerful tools for social control available….
And the same power elites (who stand for corporate control of our own government as a tool of foreign exploitation of governments overseas) remain in power. They control us by letting our illusions run rampant.
Said another way, it is us who are collectively in control. But our blindness to the roles we perform unconsciously keep us from seeing it. We are the invisible energy—the life force of politics—that these elites use to become powerful.
I say enough is enough. It is time for more awakenings.…

Bill Cosby Faces Another Setback in Sexual-Assault Trial
A prosecutor argued Thursday that Cosby’s request to move the trial’s location is merely “delay and distraction.” by Hilary Weaver January 6, 2017
Last week, Bill Cosby’s legal team filed a motion to move his upcoming trial out of its current suburban Philadelphia location, or bring in a jury from elsewhere. Cosby’s team, in filing this motion, claimed that there has been “widespread negative press coverage” surrounding his case. In legal documents filed Thursday obtained by Vanity Fair, a prosecutor stated that the comedian’s trial should remain where it is, dealing Cosby yet another blow in just the latest of a string of requests from his legal team to try to prevent a guilty verdict.
While Montgomery district attorney Kevin Steele requested in his latest filing the judge to deny the trial’s relocation, he said he wouldn’t oppose Cosby’s team’s request to bring in the jury from elsewhere in Pennsylvania. He asked that once the jury is selected, the judge bring them back to Montgomery County for the trial. Any of Steele’s requests will need to be certified by a judge before going forward.
In the documents, Steele called Cosby’s continued attempts to prolong the pre-trial process a “continued strategy of delay and distraction.” Steele noted: “He has insistently blamed everyone and everything—except himself, of course—for the situation he now finds himself in.”
The filing also stated that Cosby is a “celebrity who is alleged to have committed nearly fifty sexual assaults,” therefore “he cannot expect to find a jury venire—anywhere—that is completely oblivious to the facts surrounding the case.” Steele argued against the type of special treatment for the rich and famous Cosby appears to be requesting, stating celebrities ”would be immune to prosecution” if the court sought jury members with complete ignorance of a widely publicized case.
It was also reported this week that Steele and Cosby’s lawyers are facing off over whether or not to allow 13 of Cosby’s nearly 50 accusers to testify against him in the court case. Steele said that the mounting number of alleged incidents of sexual assault Cosby is accused of committing decreases the likelihood they were unintentional. The comedian’s attorneys argued that Steele is merely bringing the charges against Cosby because he needs a big win during his campaign for D.A.
Cosby is accused of drugging and molesting Andrea Constand, a woman he met through Temple University, in 2004. He has made several attempts to fight the charges against him in addition to the motions filed in the past two weeks….

Former King’s students to testify about abuse
Tuesday, 25 October 2016
Two former students of The King’s School in Sydney are expected to give evidence on Tuesday at the abuse royal commission about sexual assaults by older students in the 1960s and 70s.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is investigating the prestigious Parramatta private boy’s school in a set of hearings devoted to “children with harmful sexual behaviours”.
In his introduction last week, counsel assisting David Lloyd told the commission one of the men was sexually abused by a year 12 student and felt he was powerless to stop it because it was accepted that older boys could dominate younger ones…. http://www.skynews.com.au/news/national/nsw/2016/10/25/former-king-s-students-to-testify-about-abuse.html
Enabler or family defender? How Hillary Clinton responded to husband’s accusers
By Shawn Boburg September 28
Hillary Clinton has wrestled with allegations surrounding her husband’s infidelities for much of their 40-year marriage, including a sexual harassment lawsuit, a grand jury investigation and an impeachment vote centered on his untruthfulness about a relationship with a White House intern….
Her detractors, though, say that Clinton has unfairly lashed out over the years at the women involved in her husband’s indiscretions. Her responses have forced her to walk a fine line during the campaign on sexual assault issues, even as she builds strong political support among female voters….
Paula Jones, who has accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment; Monica Lewinsky, who figures in allegations of a presidential coverup; and Gennifer Flowers, who claimed in 1992 to be the then-presidential candidate’s lover….
Hillary Clinton dismissed an accusation made by Gennifer Flowers, the singer who sold her story to a supermarket tabloid after having previously denied an affair. In an ABC News interview, she called Flowers “some failed cabaret singer who doesn’t even have much of a résumé to fall back on.” She told Esquire magazine in 1992 that if she had the chance to cross-examine Flowers, “I mean, I would crucify her.”
Hillary Clinton’s support for her husband was crucial, and she sat by his side during a crucial “60 Minutes” interview, saying she was not like the victim in Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man.” Campaign pollster Stan Greenberg said at the time that the public would disregard the allegations if they believed he had been truthful to his wife.
Six years later, Bill Clinton acknowledged a sexual encounter with Flowers….
By July 1992, the campaign hired private detective Jack Palladino to investigate the accusers involved in two dozen allegations.
In 1994, former Arkansas state employee Paula Jones alleged in a lawsuit that Bill Clinton groped her in a hotel room three years earlier. Hillary Clinton wrote in her autobiography, “Living History,” that she erred in opposing an early settlement.
Eventually, Bill Clinton settled for $850,000. During discovery, Jones’s attorneys found out about White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Her husband denied the relationship, and Hillary Clinton blamed the allegations on a “vast right-wing conspiracy.”
Asked on “Good Morning America” if her husband had been truthful, she said, “I know he has.”
A former White House aide who spoke on the conditions of anonymity to talk about private discussions said Hillary Clinton blamed the scandal on political enemies and insisted that privacy was sacred.
Bill Clinton admitted his untruthfulness in August 1998…. https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/enabler-or-family-defender-how-hillary-clinton-responded-to-husbands-accusers/2016/09/28/58dad5d4-6fb1-11e6-8533-6b0b0ded0253_story.html
Documenting Trump’s Abuse of Women
For his 1993 book, “The Lost Tycoon,” Harry Hurt III acquired Ivana’s divorce deposition, in which she stated that Trump raped her.
By Jane Mayer October 24, 2016 Issue
Harry Hurt III experienced a sense of vindication. In 1993, Hurt published “Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump,” an unauthorized biography that has long been out of print. The day the tape surfaced, he was hitting golf balls at a driving range in Sagaponack, New York, when a text message arrived from a friend: “Donald is done!”
After Hurt watched the tape, he said, “I thought, Finally, this behavior is coming out.” But he doubted that the revelation would do any real damage to Trump’s campaign. Researching his book, in the early nineties, Hurt discovered and documented more serious instances of Trump’s mistreatment of women, yet most news outlets had declined to report on them….
In Hurt’s account, Trump was furious that a “scalp reduction” operation he’d undergone to eliminate a bald spot had been unexpectedly painful. Ivana had recommended the plastic surgeon. In retaliation, Hurt wrote, Trump yanked out a handful of his wife’s hair, and then forced himself on her sexually. Afterward, according to the book, she spent the night locked in a bedroom, crying; in the morning, Trump asked her, “with menacing casualness, ‘Does it hurt?’?” Trump has denied both the rape allegation and the suggestion that he had a scalp-reduction procedure. Hurt said that the incident, which is detailed in Ivana’s deposition, was confirmed by two of her friends….
Hurt finally made it onto CNN last week, after ten more women had come forward to accuse Trump of violating them…. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/10/24/documenting-trumps-abuse-of-women

In contrast to the author’s previous book, Healing the Unimaginable: Treating Ritual Abuse and Mind Control, which was for therapists, this book is designed for survivors of these abuses.
It takes the survivor systematically through understanding the abuses and how his or her symptoms may be consequences of these abuses, and gives practical advice regarding how a survivor can achieve stability and manage the life issues with which he or she may have difficulty.
The book also teaches the survivor how to work with his or her complex personality system and with the traumatic memories, to heal the wounds created by the abuse.
A unique feature of this book is that it addresses the reader as if he or she is dissociative, and directs some information and exercises towards the internal leaders of the personality system, teaching them how to build a cooperative and healing inner community within which information is shared, each part’s needs are met, and traumatic memories can be worked through successfully.

How Hillary Clinton Grappled With Bill Clinton’s Infidelity, and His Accusers
By MEGAN TWOHEY OCT. 2, 2016
…..But privately, she embraced the Clinton campaign’s aggressive strategy of counterattack: Women who claimed to have had sexual encounters with Mr. Clinton would become targets of digging and discrediting — tactics that women’s rights advocates frequently denounce.
The campaign hired a private investigator with a bare-knuckles reputation who embarked on a mission, as he put it in a memo, to impugn Ms. Flowers’s “character and veracity until she is destroyed beyond all recognition.”
In a pattern that would later be repeated with other women, the investigator’s staff scoured Arkansas and beyond, collecting disparaging accounts from ex-boyfriends, employers and others who claimed to know Ms. Flowers, accounts that the campaign then disseminated to the news media.
By the time Mr. Clinton finally admitted to “sexual relations” with Ms. Flowers, years later, Clinton aides had used stories collected by the private investigator to brand her as a “bimbo” and a “pathological liar.”
Mrs. Clinton’s level of involvement in that effort, as described in interviews, internal campaign records and archives, is still the subject of debate. By some accounts, she gave the green light and was a motivating force; by others, her support was no more than tacit assent….
Weeks later, their first taste of trouble came in a Penthouse magazine story by a rock groupie named Connie Hamzy, who claimed Mr. Clinton had once propositioned her at a hotel in Little Rock, Ark.
Mr. Clinton brushed off the story, saying that Ms. Hamzy had made a sexual advance toward him, George Stephanopoulos, the communications director of the 1992 campaign, recalled in his book, “All Too Human.”
But Mrs. Clinton demanded action.
“We have to destroy her story,” she said, according to Mr. Stephanopoulos.
In what became a common tactic, affidavits were collected, from an aide and two others who stated that they were with Mr. Clinton at the hotel and that Ms. Hamzy’s story was false. (Contacted recently, Ms. Hamzy said she stood by her account.)….
Mrs. Clinton herself took aim at Ms. Flowers in a June 1992 appearance on “The Arsenio Hall Show” better remembered for Mr. Clinton’s saxophone playing. Mr. Hall asked Mrs. Clinton about Ms. Flowers: “You know what her problem is?”
“She’s got lots of problems,” Mrs. Clinton said.
Ms. Flowers denied the accusations about her, calling the suicide story, in particular, “false and cruel.”
Mr. Clinton later admitted, during a deposition in the Paula Jones sexual harassment case, that he had sex with Ms. Flowers once.
“You’ve got to believe that Hillary Clinton wanted to protect her husband and thought he was being unfairly charged,” Mr. Kantor said. “Does she know more today than she did then? Of course.”
Gloria Allred, a well-known women’s rights lawyer who was a convention delegate for Mrs. Clinton, said that digging up a woman’s sexual past was a classic shaming strategy.
“Most people are not nuns, and most people aren’t Girl Scouts,” Ms. Allred said. “That doesn’t mean they’re not telling the truth.”…

Dance teacher Grant Davies sentenced to at least 18 years in jail
October 21, 2016
WARNING: Graphic details
SYDNEY dance teacher Grant Davies has been sentenced to at least 18 years’ jail over his more than a decade long abuse of students.
Davies was arrested in May 2013 and pleaded guilty to 47 child sex abuse offences against students ranging in age from nine to 14. His sentencing was delayed in February this year for psychiatric evaluation.
Davies was the director of the now-defunct RG Dance studios in Chiswick, in Sydney’s inner west, and trained performers for hit productions, including Billy Elliot.
Earlier this year, the Child Abuse Royal Commission heard from the parents of a student who said she was asked to masturbate in front of Davies and was abused from the age of nine….
Davies allegedly told the father: “I’ve done something terrible. I’ve really made a mistake. I’m so sorry, I may need to get help.”
Last year a woman who took sexually explicit photos of her daughters for Davies was sentenced to at least 18 months in jail.
The woman, who cannot be named, took at least 100 photos and two videos of her children. Some showed them performing sexually explicit acts. Many of them showed the girls, who were aged under 14 at the time, naked in their bedroom or bathroom.
At the mother’s sentencing hearing, her husband described the dance studio as cult-like, and said his wife acted as if she was “under a spell”….
The woman pleaded guilty to two counts of using a child under the age of 14 for the production of child abuse material and two counts of disseminating child abuse material.

Former TV reporter says Bill Clinton sexually assaulted her in 1980s
By Julia Boccagno CBS News October 19, 2016
Hours before the third and final presidential debate, Leslie Millwee, a former TV news reporter for a local station in Arkansas, accused Bill Clinton of sexually assaulting her three times in 1980, while he was governor, Breitbart News reported.
Millwee said that all of the incidents occurred while she was working on a story in the station’s tiny editing room. Two of the three assaults, she added, involved then-Gov. Clinton rubbing his genitalia against her.
“And he came in behind me,” she told Aaron Klein. “Started hunching me to the point that he had an orgasm. He’s trying to touch my breasts. And I’m just sitting there very stiffly, just waiting for him to leave me alone. And I’m asking him the whole time, ‘Please do not do this. Do not touch me. Do not hunch me. I do not want this.’”
The lewd behavior also allegedly occurred outside the perimeter of the now defunct station KLMN-TV, which covered the Fort Smith and Fayetteville markets. Millwee also said then-Gov. Clinton unexpectedly showed up at her house and began incessantly knocking on her door. At the time, Millwee was living with her grandmother, and she feared that Clinton’s promiscuity would eventually reach her doorstep.
“He knocked on the door for probably five, ten minutes,” she said. “Knocking. Calling my name. Saying, ‘I know you are home. Please answer the door.’ I did not answer the door.”
Millwee described the last incident as the “last straw.” After discussing it with her grandmother, she agreed that she should leave the station….
She added that she wanted to share her story in 1998 when the Monica Lewinsky and Kathleen Willey narratives began unfolding, but, at the same time, Millwee said, she feared the repercussions of doing so — how it would impact her family and career.
“And I watched the way the Clintons and Hillary slandered those women,” Millwee said in the interview. “Harassed them. Did unthinkable things to them. And I just did not want to be part of that. I had very small children at the time.”
Milwee claimed that she told three friends about her experiences with President Clinton in the 1990s. Two of the three were quoted in the original report– verifying Millwee’s story and character.
One of them — Richard Scott — is a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter and even contributed small donations to the campaign. “Leslie is one of the most frank, credible people I know,” said Scott. “She is not manipulative about what she says concerning people or events she is involved in. She tells it like it is….

A look at the sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump and Bill Clinton
By Colleen Shalby October 19, 2016
When Donald Trump apologized for saying in 2005 that he could grope women because of his celebrity, he immediately pointed to Bill Clinton as having done worse. Trump appeared before a debate alongside Clinton’s accusers and again mentioned the former president’s past while onstage with Hillary Clinton. But Trump’s argument was undercut when more women publicly came forward with allegations that he had groped or kissed them without consent.
Here’s a look at the pasts of both Trump and Bill Clinton and accusations against them.

WikiLeaks emails show Clinton campaign collected data to discredit Bill Clinton accuser
By Rosalind S. Helderman October 15
After Juanita Broaddrick, who has long accused former president Bill Clinton of raping her in 1978, repeated those allegations in a January tweet, aides to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton quickly moved to gather information that could be used to undermine her account, hacked internal campaign emails released Saturday by the group WikiLeaks show.
There is no evidence that the campaign publicly responded to Broaddrick’s tweet. But the email exchange between Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta and David Kendall, a personal attorney for Bill and Hillary Clinton, offers unusual insight into how Clinton’s aides prepared to deal with one of the most sensitive topics it would face during the campaign.
“I was 35 years old when Bill Clinton, Ark. Attorney General raped me and Hillary tried to silence me. I am now 73….it never goes away,” Broaddrick had tweeted on Jan. 6, during the Democratic primary season.
The emails show that Kendall and Podesta discussed the matter by phone that evening. The next day, Kendall forwarded Podesta a series of documents showing that Broaddrick had previously denied the rape allegation under oath….
In 1999, Broaddrick publicly said that Clinton had forced her to have sex in a hotel room in Arkansas in the 1970s. She also that year told “Dateline NBC” that Hillary Clinton approached her at a political event a few weeks after the incident and thanked her for everything she did for Bill Clinton, a statement Broaddrick has said she took to be an implicit threat.
Broaddrick has continued to speak out against the Clintons, including at a news conference held by Donald Trump just before the Oct. 9 presidential debate….

Anthony Weiner’s sext featuring his son could lead to child neglect inquiry
BY Barbara Ross Adam Edelman Stephen Rex Brown NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Monday, August 29, 2016,
Anthony Weiner’s latest cyber-sexcapades, featuring a photo of his sleeping son beside the pervy ex-pol’s bulging crotch, ended his marriage Monday — and could now lead to an investigation for child neglect, experts say.
“Any time adults draw children into their own sexual activity they have crossed the line. It is always inappropriate for an adult to connect any child to their sexual activities, however peripheral,” said Tim Hathaway, executive director at Prevent Child Abuse New York.
Hours after the sexts were made public, Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, a top adviser to Hillary Clinton, announced she was separating from her…hubby.
This time, the messages Weiner sent from his Twitter account — which was taken down Monday morning — reportedly included him cracking a joke and snapping a photo of his 5-year-old son, Jordan, jumping into bed beside him as his dad sexted with a woman….
It has been previously reported that Clinton’s people have wanted Abedin to leave Weiner because he could be a liability to her presidential campaign.
Sources said Weiner and Abedin had been estranged for some time and that her decision to separate was not due solely to his latest sexts. Their son was a major reason why they stuck together for so long, sources said….
NY1, where Weiner was a frequent guest, put him on indefinite leave on Monday.
The Daily News also said it would no longer publish his opinion columns.
Weiner and Abedin married in a 2010 wedding officiated by Bill Clinton. Weiner was considered a rising star in the Democratic Party, while she was practically a member of the Clinton family.
But Weiner’s online indiscretions derailed his once-promising political career in 2011 when he resigned from Congress and again in 2013 while embarking on a campaign for mayor.
Abedin stood by Weiner on both those occasions.

Ex-Jehovah’s witness reveals secrets of religious group
The treatment of women, child abuse and how to prevent being visited by followers of the religion are among topics confronted by ex-member 29 August 2016 Samuel Osborne
A former Jehovah’s Witness has offered a rare insight into the religious group, describing it as a cult that “tries to control emotions, thought, information and behavior of a person”.
The man, who did not want to be formally identified, shared his experience of growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness in Poland in an Ask Me Anything post on Reddit.
Using the username “Ohmyjw”, the former Jehovah’s Witness (JW) elder speaks out against the group’s rules, such as prohibiting blood transfusion “even if that costs them their life” or believing the world “will end in Armageddon ‘very soon'”….
Those who leave the faith are called “apostates” and are “disfellowshipped”, a term for formal expulsion and shunning, where members are “prohibited from talking, and even from saying ‘hello’ to them”, according to Ohmyjw.
In one situation where an elder started to lose his faith and challenge the group, he said they allegedly denounced him and spread gossip about him, pressuring him “so much he jumped into a river and killed himself”.
When asked how women were regarded in JW society, the former elder said they were thought of as “a complement for a man”, adding: “She should be submissive to her husband, who is the head of their family and it is he who makes all the important decisions.
“Women cannot teach in the congregation, they cannot deliver public talks or say public prayers. When they conduct a private Bible study or say a prayer with another person, while a man is around, she has to wear a scarf on her head as a sign of being submissive.”….
He also criticised the group for having a “big problem with child abuse,” saying “they believe child abuse is only a sin, not really a crime, the elders in almost all cases don’t report to the authorities, instead they try to handle it inside the congregation”.
The group allegedly requires “two witnesses to the event” and regularly decide to “leave the matter in the hands of Jehovah”.
“They basically value the ‘good name of the organisation’ more than the safety of the children,” he adds….

Greville Janner’s family pushes for delay in child abuse inquiry
Labour peer’s son says public inquiry’s investigation of his father should wait until after civil court cases
Lord Janner is alleged to have abused youngsters over a period spanning more than 30 years. His son said he was entirely innocent. Press Association Sunday 28 August 2016
The family of Greville Janner wants the public inquiry into child abuse to delay its investigation of the late Labour peer.
Lord Janner, 87, who died in December, is alleged to have abused youngsters over a period spanning more than 30 years dating back to the 1950s, with offending said to have taken place at children’s homes and hotels.
The allegations against him are due to be examined at hearings of the public inquiry next March.
But his son has said that as civil proceedings by some of his alleged victims have been started, the claims should go through the courts – where his father’s accusers can be cross-examined – before they feature in the inquiry.
Daniel Janner QC told the BBC he had prepared a submission for the home affairs select committee, which is due to question the home secretary, Amber Rudd, next month….
