It comes after the decision to not prosecute the ex-Labour MP due to his poor health was branded “a disgrace” by one alleged victim.
A number of new alleged victims of Lord Greville Janner have come forward since it was announced he will not be charged with child sex offences, police have revealed.
It comes after the decision to not prosecute the ex-Labour MP due to his poor health was branded “a disgrace” by one alleged victim, who claimed Janner was “being protected” due to his VIP status.
Leicestershire Police had already traced 25 potential victims during a two-year probe codenamed Operation Enamel….
Rape, child abuse and Prince Charles’s former school
One of Scotland’s leading schools is facing claims by former students that they were abused by paedophiles. Alex Renton reveals how the country’s archaic laws are failing to bring them justice
Alex Renton Sunday 12 April 2015
….Gordonstoun was a success, especially after Prince Philip of Greece, now the Duke of Edinburgh, arrived. Other royals followed: five of the Queen’s children and grandchildren went there, despite Charles’s complaints. By the 1970s it was touted as a place for spoilt or wealthy children who needed toughening up – Sean Connery and David Bowie’s sons went, and so did Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter. Physical punishment, strict discipline and cold showers were key to Hahn’s approach to keeping children in line.
….Mutual respect, resilience and trust were the cornerstones of Hahn’s notions of how to educate a child. His ideas have made Gordonstoun one of Britain’s most famous public schools. But a series of complaints sent to me covering 40 years reveal a dark alternative history. Not all of the stories can be detailed here. But, too often to be excused, Gordonstoun and its junior school appear to have let down the trust of parents and failed to respect the rights and needs of children. Predatory paedophiles are a part of the history of many celebrated schools in Britain. But Gordonstoun’s story is particularly urgent because Scotland’s archaic laws around proving sexual assault dissuade victims from coming forward. They can mean predators, who might be brought to trial, remain at large and free to offend.
….Such events and others, coupled with the stream of recent stories about sex scandals and cover-ups in celebrated public schools, sparked talk among Gordonstoun’s ex-pupils. In 2013 some of them began a private Facebook group, discussing things that had happened at the school, “that you don’t see in the brochures and the class photographs”, as one of them put it. Rapes, of boys and girls, were mentioned. Kate started to receive messages from girls she had known, apologising for the gossip and rumours, for the bullying, and for not having done more to help.
The group eventually involved more than 100 ex-pupils. Acting in concert, they presented the school with a list of demands: it should do more to address bullying and sexual abuse, issue an apology to past victims and fund help for them and, notably, promise in future to report any incidents to the police.
John briefly joined the group, but left it, thinking the chatter was futile: “It was mainly about bullying, old classroom rows.” But he had already decided that he had to act on Jones: “I had a duty to make sure this bastard was not still out there doing things to kids.” So in February 2014 he went to the police. Their subsequent investigation stretched as far as New Zealand. Eventually, John was told Derek Jones could not be brought to trial or offend again. He had died in a car crash in Kenya, five years earlier.
But if that was any consolation for John, it was spoilt by the shock of the other information the officer – who has declined to comment – then handed over. Despite Gordonstoun’s solemn assurances, Derek Jones had gone on to teach, and potentially abuse, elsewhere. He had been forced to leave a school in Essex and had then surfaced and taught in Kenya. It is unclear what happened in East Africa, but former colonies there have provided a home for several predatory paedophiles sacked from English private schools – some of whom have gone on to offend again. Scottish police have identified both the Essex and Kenya school where Jones taught, but have refused to name them to the Observer….

Each still faces 15 years on manslaughter and felony hazing counts for the November 2011 death of 26-year-old Robert Champion.
Champion — from Decatur, Georgia — was beaten during a hazing ritual after a football game in November 2011.
Fifteen former band members were charged with manslaughter. Dante Martin, now 27, was convicted last year and is serving six years….

Teal Swan’s story of Satanic Ritual abuse PART ONE
By Christopher Oswalt Oct 30, 2014
The topic of Satanic Ritual has long been taboo. Few speak of the underground world. Criminal cases are rare. One former Idaho woman says she was a victim of Satanic Ritual abuse while growing up in Eastern Idaho.
Teal Swan says her life consisted of abuse, both physically and sexual and murder….
Swan says she witnessed the person who took her into the cult kill five children. She knew what she was witnessing was not right, but she feared escaping.
“One of the first programs that was done on me, was he had me breathing and go through and elaborate visualization of my home having just told. ‘Hey you just told people about me. You just told who you really are. So what do you see hanging from the rafters? I shrug my shoulders. He said ‘Do you see that is your mother? Do you see that her blood is all over the floor?”
What Teal shared with Oswalt is the focus of dozens of investigations around the country. Lt. Larry Jones, a former Boise Police officer, was instrumental in a Department of Justice report on cult rituals. The report admits these crimes are hard to prove, but says it is imperative the cases be solved. In most documented cases of ritual abuse, the FBI says it is often a close friend or family who commits the crime.
Teal told Oswalt that she truly believes what she shared happened to her….
Teal says she was taken in at age six. She escaped during a ritual in Eastern Idaho when she was 19. She left the state and found refuge with her friend in Utah. Teal says things started to turn around from there, but it took time….
Teals interview with FOX/ABC in Boise, Idaho discussing the prevalence of Satanic Ritual Abuse. First aired on 30th October 2014.

‘Jail archbishop who covered up my abuse’: Victims say nothing was done to stop paedophile priest
Very Reverend Robert Waddington sexually abused choirboys for decades
Inquiry into the abuse has slammed Lord Hope, former Archbishop of York
Report claims he was made aware of misconduct 19 times but did not act
Despite this – he still holds influential post and sits in the House of Lords
By Richard Marsden for the Daily Mail

A former archbishop who failed to act on alleged crimes of a paedophile priest should be jailed, the abuser’s victims have said.
Lord Hope, the former Archbishop of York, did not act on 19 occasions when allegations of abuse or inappropriate conduct by the priest were raised with him, a scathing report revealed yesterday.
But despite that, Lord Hope remains as an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Bradford.
Eli Ward and Bim Atkinson, who were among seven victims of the Very Reverend Robert Waddington, former Dean of Manchester, said it is ‘incredible’ that the man who did nothing to stop the priest has been allowed to keep his post.Waddington, who kept an official position in the church until 2005 and died in 2007, targeted young choirboys over several decades. One of the seven victims committed suicide in 1989….
Waddington then moved to York Minster, where more children were abused. He stayed in a lesser post there until 2005, despite the allegations made to Lord Hope, according to the report, which was commissioned by current Archbishop of York, the Most Reverend John Sentamu….
Robert Waddington died in 2007 – he had been accused of abusing seven different victims between 1955 and 1996….
‘It’s rape’: Sayreville High School players face charges of abusive hazing
By Echo Chambers 22 October 2014
A small New Jersey town is reeling weeks after seven high-school varsity American football players were accused of charges ranging from hazing to aggravated sexual assault earlier this month.
According to the victims, seniors on the Sayreville War Memorial High School team would run into the locker room, turn the lights off, pin them to the floor and, at the very least, grab their buttocks. This allegedly happened on multiple occasions between 19 and 29 September.
Three of the players are facing more serious charges, including the sexual penetration of one victim.
By calling sexual abuse hazing, society grants those perpetrators a free pass”
Gary Phillips The Journal News
This may have been a orchestrated event. Four players would hold a victim on the floor while two were on lookout, one parent told NJ.com after their son confided in them. One player would signal the start of the process with a howl, then turn off the lights and assault the freshman….
Michael Kasdan says there’s another word for what happened.
“It’s rape,” he writes for the Good Men Project. “Yes, it occurred as part of a football team hazing program, and it is boys acting against other boys, but – if the allegations are true – it is rape just the same.”
Kasdan says that what happened in Sayreville was abuse, with the sexual aspect being another way to assert dominance.
While the stories are disturbing, they are far from uncommon, says Robert Silverman of the Daily Beast. It’s a part of a larger issue across the country and at all levels of the sport….

Anti-Abuse Activist Joey Diangello Dies of Overdose, But His Legacy Lives On
Former Satmar Hasid Buried in Monsey Community He Left
Survivor of Abuse: In 2009, Joey Diangello, who says he was abused as a child in a Brooklyn Hasidic community, lobbied the New York State legislature for a bill to extend the statute of limitations for claims of sexual abuse.
By Hody Nemes
Published October 23, 2014, issue of October 31, 2014.
As a teenager, Joey Diangello, a self-described survivor of child sex abuse, left the insular Satmar Hasidic community of Williamsburg, in Brooklyn, where he’d grown up and plunged into the world of heavy metal music….
But in death, Diangello, a co-founder of the group Survivors for Justice, which seeks to expose child sexual abuse in the Orthodox community — where it is often repressed — returned to the ultra-Orthodox enclave of Monsey, New York. On October 19, he was buried in a cemetery there under the birth name he abandoned long ago: Yoel Deutsch….
When he was 7 years old, Diangello entered a mikveh, a ritual bathhouse, on Marcy Avenue in Brooklyn. Allegedly, while he was in the water, a man whose face he never saw raped him. “I think when that person raped me, he murdered my Jewish soul,” Diangello told PIX11 in 2009….
Diangello stopped going to the mikveh, though he kept the alleged rape a secret. At age 17 he broke with his family and left the Satmar community.
By 2009, Diangello was ready to revisit his old life. When he helped found Survivors for Justice, he spoke out publicly about his own trauma.
He also demonstrated and lobbied in favor of the “Markey Bill,” state legislation aimed at expanding the statute of limitations for victims to sue individuals and institutions responsible for child sexual abuse in New York State. Currently, the state maintains particularly short time limits, though children who are abused often do not understand and confront their abuse until well into adulthood. The bill, which has passed the state assembly several times, would also offer a one-time window for victims of older crimes to pursue their cases. It has repeatedly failed to pass the State Senate….
In a 2009 interview with NPR, Diangello described his outlook by citing a song by his favorite heavy metal band. In Metallica’s “Broken, Beaten & Scarred,” he noted, “one of the verses is: ‘They scratched me, they scraped me, they cut and raped me.’ And that’s my life right there. When I listen to it, it gives me strength.”….
