Satanist’s Girlfriend Sentenced in Murders of Two Men in North Carolina
By Jeff Truesdell March 10, 2017
An avowed satanist’s girlfriend, accused of killing one man and helping to bury the body of another in a suburban North Carolina backyard, pleaded guilty Thursday to her part in the crimes.
Authorities who accused Amber Nicole Burch, 27, first found themselves investigating a link to possible satanic ritual and sacrifice after the bones of two missing men, Joshua Wetzler, 32, and Tommy Welch, 31, were discovered in 2014 behind the red-bricked Clemmons home where Burch had lived with her boyfriend, Pazuzu Illah Algarad, and his mother.
Prosecutors charged Burch and Algarad — the former John Larson, a “weird goth kid” in the words of a former classmate, who had dropped out of school following his parents’ divorce and legally changed his name to mimic that of a demon in The Exorcist — with the murders.
A third person, Krystal Nicole Matlock, 30, was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
On Thursday, Burch pleaded guilty in Forsyth County Superior Court to second-degree murder, armed robbery and accessory after the fact to murder, reports the Winston-Salem Journal….
“They seemed like a regular family with a young boy,” former neighbor Keith Bryson said, “but over the years the boy went astray,” developing a fascination for evil that he accented with a split tongue and teeth filed into spikes.
“He had a pentagram and ‘666’ tattoos all over his body,” Bryson said after Burch and Algarad were arrested. “He told me he practiced satanism.”
As part of an investigation into an unrelated criminal case, Algarad earlier told psychiatrists he engaged in religious practices that required a monthly animal sacrifice.
Police who entered the murder scene in 2014 to investigate found a home then filled with garbage, mold and animal feces. Algarad already was on their radar, having been charged as an accessory after the fact when he allegedly allowed the assailant in an involuntary shooting death to stay at the house in 2010. The next year, 2011, he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault after choking his mother, Cynthia Lawson.
Lillelid murders still haunt East Tennessee, 20 years later
Matt Lakin , USA TODAY NETWORK April 2, 2017
….One gunman turned to the other.
“What do you think we should do?” he asked. “Do you think we should let them go or do you think we should kill them?”
Six people, all serving life sentences with no chance of parole, know what happened next that Sunday evening of April 6, 1997. Each tells a slightly different story. In each story, another fires the fatal shots.
John Huffine can recite the events from memory. The retired detective knows every inch of the spot along Payne Hollow Lane in rural Greene County, right down to the number of feet from the spot where the van parked to the main road, to the nearest house, to the ditch where deputies found four bodies lying in a bloody pile. Twenty years later, he can point out all the landmarks.
….He remembers the killers, too, whose names, mug shots and fascination with devil worship, blood-drinking and the occult topped front pages, TV newscasts and tabloid covers for months after the killing, and whose motives still drive online debates among true-crime aficionados. Natasha Wallen Cornett, then 18; Karen Howell, then 17; Joseph Lance Risner, then 20; Jason Blake Bryant, then 14; Joseph Dean Mullins, then 19; and Crystal Rena Sturgill, then 18, all deny to this day they knew what was about to happen on the side of that gravel road.
The longtime investigator knows how the killers met their victims, can tell the story of how the family, devout Jehovah’s Witnesses headed home from a religious convention, stopped at the rest area on Interstate 81 South at just the right time to cross paths with six Kentucky youths on the run from police, parents and a community they hated. He knows the path they followed from there to the murder scene. He knows how many shots were fired, in what order and from what distance.
….Life had revolved around conflict, rebellion and escape since the time Cornett turned a teenager in the southeast Kentucky town of Betsy Layne. She starved herself to look thinner. She slashed her arms with razors and licked the blood. She wore black, pierced her eyebrows, read books on witchcraft and called herself Satan’s daughter. At age 14, she threatened her mother with a knife. The mother tried in vain to find treatment for her. Cornett told friends she’d talked to angels and demons since age 4. She wrote about the apparitions in her diary and gave them names, in between fantasies of macabre violence and tirades against her mother.
She’d tasted life away from home twice. The first taste came when she married at age 17 in a ceremony where the bride and her maids of honor dressed in black and wore chains. That marriage ended less than a year later when her husband dropped her off at her mother’s home and drove away without a word. The second came a few months later when Cornett and a friend drove to New Orleans and lived on the streets before coming home. She told friends she wanted to go back, that she dreamed of living out one of her favorite movies, “Natural Born Killers,” Oliver Stone’s ode to mayhem about a pair of lovers who leave a trail of bodies on their way to the Mexican border.
….That idea came up again during a Friday night party of drinking beer and getting high in a room at the Colley Motel in Pikeville, Ky., on April 4, 1997. Most of those in the room had known each other since at least high school, staying on and off with Cornett at her mother’s trailer. Karen Howell, a friend Cornett called her “soulmate,” shared a fascination with the occult and stories of childhood visions and sexual abuse. Dean Mullins was dating Cornett; Joe Risner had dated Cornett and now Howell. Crystal Sturgill, a newcomer no longer welcome in her home after reporting her stepfather for sexual abuse, had found a home with Cornett.
….News reports and word-of-mouth later told of séances, satanic rituals and an attempt to burn the number “666” into the motel room carpet. Bell, the prosecutor, believes Cornett birthed the plan there for a Mexico-bound murder spree. Witnesses say Cornett cried and commiserated with Howell about fighting with her mother, hating life in Kentucky and wanting out. Risner, the oldest of the group at 20, was on spring break from the local tech center, where he’d been taking trade classes after earning his GED. He had a car, a Chevrolet Citation registered in his mother’s name. He was up for a trip.
….Huffine, the detective, doesn’t buy any single version of the story told by the six. The story of a single shooter doesn’t match up with the forensics to him. He shakes his head at the popular theory of Satanism as a motive, too. In his view, it’s as simple as six people on the run looking for leg room and a working engine.
….“We always thought it might have been some kind of initiation,” Bell recalled. “They did it to get the van, and maybe that was the initial motivation. But I think they took advantage of the situation to engage in a satanic ritual. I think everybody participated in some fashion. I don’t have any direct proof of that. It’s all circumstantial, but that’s what I believe happened.”….
Woman convicted of 1980 satanic cult murder up for parole
by NBC 10 NEWS
Monday, March 27th 2017
A convicted killer who was involved in a devil-worshipping prostitution ring nearly 40 years ago will appear before a parole board in Natick Tuesday.
Police said Robin Murphy, 54, was 17 years old when she pleaded guilty to murdering Karen Marsden.
But authorities believe she’s responsible for killing two other people, as well, including Doreen Levesque and Barbara Ann Raposa.
The idea that Murphy has a chance at parole sends chills down the spine of a former detective, who is now a Massachusetts state representative.
“I arrested thousands of people — 40 homicides I investigated. I have never met anyone who is more vicious than she,” Rep. Alan Silvia told NBC 10 News.
Murphy was part of a satanic cult and prostitution ring that held rituals in area woods during the late 70s and early 80s.
While Silvia said Murphy was the ringleader and mastermind behind three homicides, Murphy only plead guilty to the 1980 murder of Marsden. She was the third and final victim….
Meanwhile, her testimony, which she since recanted, sent Carl Drew and Andrew Maltais to jail for life. She was acquainted with both men during the time of the murders….

Fort Polk soldier writes horror novel – and it’s based on real-life events
Sunday Jan 15, 2017 By RACHEL STEFFAN
Sgt. 1st Class Joseph “Joe” Willie, a Hammond native, writes under the name of J.P. Willie. He has served 17 years in the Army, with three to go until retirement. He has been all over the world. Now he is back in Louisiana at Fort Polk, with his wife Corrie and their five children.
One might assume that growing up in rural Hammond, Louisiana, Willie would have had a quiet, southern upbringing, and he did. But he had some horrific, first-hand experiences due to a long string of activities surrounding the occult, and these fueled his first novel….
the inspiration for his novel, “Blood in the Woods,” comes from a different place.
…he felt he could write a horror novel about the things that happened in this area.
The story, about the devious and violent activities of devil worshippers, is based on actual events from Hammond in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The book is officially fictional because he dramatized the story, however, it is based in his real experiences, memories, and court documents.
Willie recalls that he and childhood friends would sometimes find small animals gutted open on a makeshift altar in the woods. That is in the book, and the group of friends in this coming-of-age novel are also real….
The real-life case
This case made Tangipahoa Parish infamous for some time, and it still comes up in pop culture. The events which took place in and around Hosanna Church may have served as inspiration for the 2014 HBO series “True Detective.”
“Some people in Hammond are still uncomfortable talking about it,” Willie said,
In May 2005, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards, told The Baton Rouge Advocate that members of the Ponchatoula cult, who were accused of abusing children and animals, said they carried out the practices for years as part of a devil worshiping ritual involving cat blood.
Willie said the regular pastor of Hosanna Church, Louis Lamonica Jr., ran these rituals inside the church at night. Lamonica’s own children were being assaulted by the “dark congregation.”
In his confession, Lamonica claimed he had performed satanic rituals, child sexual abuse, and animal sacrifice in the church, and that he was not alone. He asserted that there were five other participants, including his wife, Robin, and, notably, a sheriff’s deputy, Chris Labat.
Willie’s point of view is particularly poignant as a writer, because he was a kid running around, bumping into the remnants of the cult’s activities. He is not just telling someone else’s story.
As the summary on his book states, the characters spent their time “playing in the woods, shooting pellet guns, blowing up mailboxes, fighting at school, and the beginnings of interests in girls.” Eventually, the characters “stumble upon something horrific in the woods one evening and their lives quickly take a turn.”
“The book is extremely graphic and truly disturbing, especially to parents,” Willie said.
Willie makes the distinction between Satanists and devil worshippers.
“I knew some soldiers who were open Satanists,” he said. “They told me quite a bit about it. They don’t believe in God or a devil. Their antics are a mockery of the Catholic Church. They believe they are their own gods, and they do whatever their hearts desire.”….
Devil worshippers, meanwhile, take violent action and maintain religious rituals.
“It’s a lot of blood sacrificial offerings. Out in the country, where I lived, there were lots of cattle and farmers. Devil worshippers were killing cows and ripping their hearts out on a regular basis.”
Willie emphasized that the book is not promoting or glorifying these occult activities….
Sunil Rastogi linked to 58 cases of child abuse
Somreet Bhattacharya TNN Jan 18, 2017
NEW DELHI: It cannot have been an easy task given that paedophile Sunil Rastogi confessed to 500 criminal acts over a dozen years, but Delhi Police has now pinpointed 58 of them, greatly increasing the chances of the sexual predator being put behind bars for life.
Only 15 cases of children being sexually assaulted by Rastogi were registered with the cops. Probe revealed that since 2004, Rastogi was detained thrice at police stations in Uttarkhand, UP and Delhi, but obtained release easily enough. After 2008, the 38-year-old had reduced his forays into Delhi when the laws regarding sexual assaults were strengthened.
The findings showed that while five cases were registered in east Delhi between 2004 and 2017, two incidents were reported from Udhampur, two from Rampur and three from Ghaziabad. In the same period, three cases were documented in Rudrapur in Uttrakhand.
Police said they had contacted the victims in three other cases that have surfaced in Delhi and requested them register a police complaint. A joint police team comprising cops from Delhi, Uttarakhand and UP is now trying to convince victims of the identified incidents to register complaints to ensure a watertight case against Rastogi. “We will seek Rastogi’s police custody if the charges against him are strong enough,” said Omvir Singh Bishnoi, DCP (East)….
After his arrest last Saturday, Rastogi claimed that he had first committed a sexual crime while living in Delhi with his family, the victim being a neighbour at the slum near Kalyanpuri. A case in this regard was registered in 2004 at the Ghazipur police station under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty). However, the law had permitted Rastogi to seek a bail from the police station itself. The cops are trying to trace the victim to convince her to record a fresh statement….

A Boalsburg man charged with more than 1,000 felony counts of sexual abuse was sentenced on Tuesday to 20 to 40 years in prison.
Richard Garmat, 60, was accused by a family member of sexual abuse last year. The family member claimed the abuse began in fifth grade and continued until the minor was 15.
Garmat was charged in June with 1,202 counts, including 504 felony counts of unlawful contact with a minor, 123 felony counts of aggravated indecent assault without consent and 209 felony counts of indecent assault of a person younger than 13 years of age…..
The victim spoke to Ruest prior to sentencing, saying Garmat was someone “who used me, made me feel worthless and ashamed and useless to the world.”
“I will not stay broken,” the victim said, “and I will know I am healing knowing he will be held accountable for his actions.”….

Bill Cosby to stand trial for assault charges, judge rules
By Brian Vitagliano, Holly Yan and Kristina Sgueglia, CNN
Tue May 24, 2016
Norristown, Pennsylvania (CNN)More than a decade after he was first accused of sexual misconduct, Bill Cosby will go to trial. A Pennsylvania judge found enough evidence during a hearing Tuesday to proceed with a criminal trial. It’s not clear when his trial will start. Cosby faces three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault from a 2004 case involving Andrea Constand, an employee at his alma mater, Temple University. She was the first of more than 50 women who have accused Cosby of sexual misconduct….
In the statement, Constand said Cosby invited her to his home in 2004 and told her to wear comfortable clothes. Constand said she had been grappling with issues in her life, and that Cosby gave her a few pills to “take the edge off.” Afterward, Constand’s statement said, Cosby sexually assaulted her. Constand was not in court for the hearing Tuesday, a fact that Cosby’s defense team tried to capitalize on. “After hearing the weak, inconsistent and incredible evidence presented, it is clear why the prosecution did not allow its witness to speak and be confronted by the person she has accused,” McMonagle said….
Cosby has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than 50 women. But he will never stand trial in the vast majority of cases because the statutes of limitations have passed…. Cosby has denied he sexually assaulted any women.
Bill Cosby Accuser Jennifer Thompson: One of the Teens He Had Sex With was Me
Two days before Bill Cosby was ordered to trial on allegations he drugged and sexually assaulted a woman in 2004, a document re-surfaced in which he admitted having sexual contact with teens sent to him by a modeling agency.
Jennifer “Kaya” Thompson, who spoke with PEOPLE exclusively in 2005, confirms she was one of those teens.
The document, which was re-released Sunday by the Associated Press includes portions of Cosby’s depositions from 2005 and 2006 in a long-settled civil suit.
During those depositions, Cosby was asked about an unnamed aspiring actress and model he met when she was 17, and he acknowledged that an agency would send “five or six” models each week to the studio where he filmed The Cosby Show. His contact with the young woman – which Thompson says is her – continued as she became 18 or 19….
Judge Says Sexual Assault Case Against Bill Cosby Can Go To Trial
May 24, 2016 Dana Farrington
A judge in Pennsylvania ruled Tuesday that there is sufficient evidence for a sexual assault case against comedian Bill Cosby to move to trial….
Cosby, who has been accused by dozens of women of sexual assault, has been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault in the case, which involves a former Temple University employee who says Cosby assaulted her in his home in 2004. Each count carries five to 10 years in prison….
The statement “said that Constand felt dizzy, had blurred vision … after Cosby allegedly gave her pills she thought were herbal medicine,” Allyn reports. Cosby says the pills were Benadryl and the sexual contact was consensual….

Bill Cosby Admitted to Sex With Teens in Newly Released Deposition
By Nicole Weisensee Egan 5/23/2016
Entertainer Bill Cosby admitted to having sex with at least two teen-aged girls and said an agency would send “five or six” models to his studio each week while he was filming one of his sitcoms, according to portions of Cosby’s deposition in a long-settled civil released by the Associated Press on the eve of a preliminary hearing on the lone criminal case against Cosby.
Cosby said he would give the struggling, young actresses a “very, very good meal” and described a sexual encounter he had with one of them in 2000, according to the transcripts from the depositions Cosby gave in 2005 and 2006 for Andrea Constand’s civil suit against him. She was 17 years old at the time….

North Carolina ‘Satanist’ And ‘Cannibal’ Arrested For Murder, Bodies Found In Shallow Graves In Backyard
A “Satanist killer’s” home in North Carolina has been described as a house of horrors by law enforcement officers. Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, was arrested after the remains of two individuals were found behind his home in Clemmons, in a shallow grave.
The North Carolina Satanist shared the home with Amber Nicole Burch, 24, who claimed to be his wife. Cynthia Lawson, Pazuzu Illah Algarad’s mother, also lived at the same address. The bodies found in a shallow grave in North Carolina have been identified as Tommy Welch and Joshua Wetzler. Both men were in their 30s.
Amber Nicole Birch was also charged in the murders. Krystal Nicole Matlock, 28, has been charged as an accessory to murder. Clemmons police officers believe that the bodies of the two men were buried in 2009, with Algarad and Burch each committing one of the murders.
Police video taken inside the home where satanic worship allegedly occurred is said to be “stomach-turning.” The walls were reportedly covered in pentagrams, depictions of the Devil, animal feces, and other putrid substances covering the floor and a “sea of trash” scattered about the North Carolina home.
A friend of Pazuzu Illah Algarad claims that the alleged satanic worshipper “told everyone” about the bodies buried in shallow graves in the backyard – but no one believe him. Algarad also allegedly told his friend how Joshua Fredrick Wetzler and Tommy Dean Welch were killed in great detail. After killing the two men, the Satanist allegedly ate part of their bodies and burned the rest in a fire pit.
Algarad’s neighbors told local authorities that he routinely performed both satanic rituals and animal sacrifices in his back yard as well. North Carolina law enforcement officers report that animal bones have been found on the property, and that more arrests are possible as the investigation moves along….

Police believe the victims were buried in 2009 and that Algarad killed one while Burch killed the other

6 November 2014
Police have released stomach-turning video taken from inside the disgusting home of accused North Carolina ‘Satanist killer’ Pazuza Algarad.
Inside the Clemmons house, behind which police uncovered two long-dead bodies from a shallow grave last month, is a virtual sea of trash, animal feces and other putrescence within walls utterly covered in pentagrams and depictions of the Devil.
The squalid scene lay behind a door covered in skulls and arcane symbols. Otherwise, the ranch-style brick home suggests none of the horrors police say took place inside and which date back as far as 2009.
Early this past October, police dug two bodies out from the yard behind the home 35-year-old Algarad shared with his Satanist mother Cynthia Lawson and his self-proclaimed wife Amber Burch, 24.
The first victim has been identified as 37-year-old Joshua Fredrick Wetzler while the second victim has been named as Tommy Dean Welch, 36.
Police say they wound up dead and buried in the yard in 2009.
Algarad was arrested and charged with murder October 5 after the two bodies were discovered at the house in Clemmons where neighbors say he has performed animal sacrifices and satanic rituals.
A friend claims that he had ‘told everyone’ about the bodies, but nobody believed him, and he described how he killed them, ate part of them and then burned the rest in a fire pit.
Burch was also charged with murder, while 28-year-old Krystal Nicole Matlock has been charged as an accessory with police alleging that she helped bury the bodies.
Police have said they also found animal bones in the property and that more arrests as part of the investigation are possible….
Tennessee Satanist Gregory Scott Hale Arrested for Murder and Cannibalism
By Kabita Maharana June 11, 2014
A Satanist who murdered and dismembered a woman before eating parts of her body, has been arrested in Manchester, Tennessee, according to reports.
Gregory Scott Hale, 37, was arrested at his home in Coffee County and has been charged with first degree murder after he admitted to the murder of 36-year-old Lisa Hyder of Dekalb County, and performing the grisly ritual that followed.
Devil worshipper Hale was reportedly seeking help from his neighbours to dispose of Hyder’s remains, when they became suspicious and contacted the police….
In the arrest affidavit, Hale said he cut off Hyder’s head, her hands and her feet before burying her torso outside his south-central Tennessee home.
Hale also admitted eating portions of her corpse during a ritual. He claims to have never met the woman he killed.
The deranged man was known to have performed satanic rituals using animal body parts, which he acquired from the slaughterhouse where he worked.
Further evidence of his preoccupation with bloody ritual and death can be found on Hale’s Facebook page.

Farmer says it the latest in a line of night attacks by devil worshippers across Devon and Cornwall
By Agency 25 Jun 2015
A rare-breed sheep has been slaughtered on Dartmoor in a Satanic ritual to mark the midsummer solstice….
The farmer says it the latest in a line of attacks by devil worshippers across Devon and Cornwall – mostly carried out on lonely moors at night….
“It was on Sunday – the summer solstice – and we found the ewe around 10.30am….
Police have recorded it as a case of “inflicting unnecessary suffering on an animal” but wouldn’t speculate on whether it was a Satanic ritual killing.
In 2013 a farming family on the edge of Dartmoor said members of a Satanic cult were slaughtering their animals including horses.
Maxine Beesley, whose livestock were killed in a series of horrendous attacks, said the secret cult was torturing them for warped sacrifices….
Locals feared the two thoroughbreds were attacked to mark the summer solstice – a key date in the Satanic calender.

2nd Houston-area teen convicted in occult killing
Friday, June 19, 2015
HOUSTON (AP) — A Harris County jury has convicted a second Houston-area teenager of murder in the death of a girl who prosecutors say was killed as part of a satanic ritual.
Jurors on Friday found 17-year-old Victor Alas guilty in the February 2014 death of 15-year-old Corriann Cervantes at a vacant apartment southeast of Houston. The conviction carries an automatic life sentence.
Authorities investigated the case as a satanic ritual killing because a cross was carved into Cervantes’ abdomen and because of objects found at the scene.
Alas’ attorneys say they couldn’t overcome a videotaped confession he gave to police.
Jose Reyes, then 17, also was convicted and received a life sentence last December. Authorities have said the pair hoped to make a deal with the devil by killing Cervantes.
Ex-MP Harvey Proctor questioned in child abuse inquiry
19 June 2015
A former MP has been questioned by police investigating historical allegations of child abuse and murder.
Harvey Proctor, Conservative MP for Billericay until 1987, was interviewed under caution but was not arrested.
Police are investigating claims that a group of prominent men in public life sexually and physically abused children in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Mr Proctor, who has denied any part in abuse, said the interview on Thursday took place at his request….
The investigation began after a man in his 40s made a series of allegations last year.
The alleged victim has told the BBC he was abused by senior political, military and “law enforcement” figures, and has also said children were abused at Army facilities in southern England.
It is claimed that three children were murdered at different London locations.
In March, Mr Proctor denied any involvement in child abuse – some of which is alleged to have taken place at the Dolphin Square apartment complex in Pimlico, London.
He said: “I have never attended sex parties at Dolphin Square or anywhere else.
“I have not been part of any rent boy ring with cabinet ministers, other members of Parliament or generals or the military….
Harvey Proctor was born in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, and served as a Conservative MP from 1979 to 1987, representing the Essex constituencies of Basildon and then Billericay.
In 1987, he was fined after pleading guilty to gross indecency over sexual activity with men under the age of 21 – then the legal age of consent for gay men.
He said he believed the men were above the age of consent. The men were above the current age of consent, which is 16….
Jehovah’s Witnesses to compensate woman over sex abuse
19 June 2015
A woman who claimed Jehovah’s Witness elders failed to protect her from sex abuse carried out by a paedophile has won a £275,000 payout.
The woman, now in her 20s, alleges she was abused as a child in Loughborough by ministerial servant Peter Stewart.
She had argued at London’s High Court that he used his role to abuse her.
A judge ruled the organisation was liable for the abuse because it failed to take “safeguarding steps” after Stewart admitted abusing another child.
Mr Justice Globe said he was “satisfied” the defendants should be “held responsible” for the abuse, which took place between 1989 and 1994.
It is the first civil case in the UK of historical sexual abuse brought against the Christian-based religious movement.
The organisation – which accepted that Stewart, who died before facing justice, sexually abused the claimant – said it was “disappointed” with the decision and would appeal….
The woman, known only as C during the case, says she was abused by Stewart between the ages of four and nine.
At the time he was a trusted ministerial servant, whose role was to assist elders with religious and administrative duties.
Shortly after C’s abuse began, Stewart was found to have abused another child in the Jehovah’s Witness community.
He was removed as a ministerial servant in 1990 but because he told elders he had repented, he was allowed to continue with many of the activities he had performed in that role.
C alleges he continued to abuse her for another four years….
In 1995, Stewart was convicted of separate child sex offences, including rape and indecent assault, and jailed for five years.
He died, aged 72, in 2001, shortly before police arrived at his home to arrest him for sexually abusing C.

The Huffington Post By Stephanie Marcus 05/27/2015
UPDATE: On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Walgreens, Jimmy Dean, Pure Leaf Iced Tea, Ace Hardware, David’s Bridal, ConAgra Foods, Party City and Behr have all removed their ads from the show, while CVS, H&R Block, Ricola and Keurig all said they have no plans of advertising with the series should TLC decide to keep “19 Kids and Counting” on the air.

Broken copiers delay ‘satanic rape’ trial
May 26 2015 By Shain Germaner
A boy was raped allegedly in a “satanic ritual “at the Full Gospel Church of God in Witfield, Boksburg.
Johannesburg – The court proceedings of four people including a pastor, accused of raping a child in an alleged satanic ritual, has been postponed because of a pair of broken photocopiers.
The child’s paternal grandparents, uncle and the 54-year-old pastor were arrested in February after an SAPS Occult Related Crimes Unit investigation.
Police suspect the group brought the then 7-year-old to the Full Gospel Church of God in Witfield, Boksburg, some time in 2013. The four – clad in robes and chanting – allegedly forced the boy to fondle their genitals before the uncle raped the child….
Violent Melbourne rapist jailed for torture of Dutch backpacker, 21, he kept as sex slave for six weeks
Lucy Clarke-Billings Tuesday 26 May 2015
A sadistic drug addict who kept a Dutch backpacker captive in a hotel room where he violently raped and beat her has been jailed for 17 years.
Alfio Anthony Granata carved a cross into the forehead of his victim, then 21, with a knife and told her she was marked for death during the six week ordeal in a Melbourne hotel room in 2012.
The 47-year-old pleaded guilty to nine counts of rape and charges of theft, threats to kill and intentionally causing serious injury that left his victim with 54 bruises and abrasions….
Granata conducted a ritual that involved putting a photograph of the victim into an envelope along with her hair, nail clippings and blood, telling her the act symbolised her being no more….
Fran’s Day Care/Keller Case
State’s highest criminal court throws out 1992 convictions of sexual assault at Austin day care.
Court declines, however, to find Dan and Fran Keller innocent in case involving claims of satanic abuse.
A unanimous Court of Criminal Appeals instead overturned their convictions based on false testimony by an emergency room doctor whose hospital examination had provided the only physical evidence of sexual assault during the Kellers’ joint trial. Dr. Michael Mouw later admitted that inexperience led him to misidentify normally occurring conditions as evidence of sexual abuse in a 3-year-old girl.
The nine judges did not provide an explanation for why they rejected the Kellers’ innocence claim except to say their decision was based on the findings of the trial judge “and this court’s independent review of the record.” However, in a concurring opinion, Judge Cheryl Johnson said she would have found both Kellers innocent….

I was abused as a child: disgraced priest Gerald Ridsdale gives evidence at sex abuse royal commission in Ballarat
May 28, 2015 Jane Lee and Rania Spooner
A paedophile priest who was convicted of more than 100 charges of sexual abuse against children over about 30 years began offending before he was ordained and says he worked with no restrictions at any of the parishes he was moved to amid numerous abuse allegations.
Gerald Ridsdale, 81, told a royal commission on Wednesday he had spent his life feeling “uncomfortable” around adults, keeping secrets and in fear of being discovered as a paedophile. He also said he had been sexually abused as a child himself, and had had a three-year relationship while in prison.
The first time he abused a child was at a camp for disadvantaged children while he was still in training to become a priest at a seminary in Werribee.
Within a year of his ordination in 1961, the Catholic Church received its first complaint about Ridsdale abusing children. Then-Bishop James O’Collins threatened to send Ridsdale “off the mission” if he offended again, which meant he would no longer work as a priest.
Ms Furness asked if this threat played on his mind as he moved to different parishes and abused children. Ridsdale, who was also abused by a cousin and an uncle when he was younger than 12, said: “It could have.”
He repeatedly denied having to comply with certain conditions when he was moved to different parishes, despite parishioners’ complaints of his abusive behaviour.
“I’ve never had any restrictions or conditions put on me,” he said….
