Hofstra fraternity accused of sickening hazing rituals
By Chris Perez December 6, 2016
Members of the Sigma Pi fraternity at Hofstra University took hazing to new heights last year — with never-before-seen pictures depicting a slew of stomach-churning rituals, including vomiting on one another and being covered from head-to-toe in hot sauce.
The images, published Tuesday by the Hofstra Chronicle, show students being subjected to a wide range of abuse over the course of the Fall 2014 and Fall 2015 pledge processes.
They were obtained during a semester-long investigation, in which numerous acts of “extreme hazing” were uncovered within the now-defunct fraternity — such as forced favors, a merit and demerit system and anti-Semitic imagery, according to the school newspaper.
In one photo, three “pledges” from the Fall class of 2015 can be seen sprawled out on the ground, with their bodies covered in flour.
Another shows a student locked in a small cage, which is intended to hold the smallest person in the pledge class.
Syed Ali John Mehdi — a former student and member of Sigma Pi’s Beta-Alpha class of Spring 2015 — told The Chronicle that the student chosen to sit in the cage is ultimately forced to remain inside for indefinite periods of time, which are then made longer if they are unable to correctly answer a question about the fraternity or its members….
Chelsea paid me £50,000 to prevent child abuse revelations – Johnson Soccer
December 2, 2016 Jon Fisher
Former Chelsea forward Gary Johnson claims he was paid £50,000 by the club to prevent him disclosing allegations of child abuse.
Johnson says he was sexually abused by Chelsea’s former chief scout Eddie Heath, who is now dead, after being groomed by him from the age of 13. Heath worked at Stamford Bridge from 1968 to 1979.
Child abuse is football’s worst-kept secret
Chelsea agreed a settlement with Johnson in relation to Heath’s conduct and it is understood to be the only claim of this nature that the club is currently dealing with.
“I think that they were paying me to keep a lid on this,” Johnson said in the Daily Mirror, which reported that Chelsea had waived the confidentiality clause in the settlement to the 57-year-old….

Teal Swan’s story of Satanic Ritual abuse PART ONE
By Christopher Oswalt Oct 30, 2014
The topic of Satanic Ritual has long been taboo. Few speak of the underground world. Criminal cases are rare. One former Idaho woman says she was a victim of Satanic Ritual abuse while growing up in Eastern Idaho.
Teal Swan says her life consisted of abuse, both physically and sexual and murder….
Swan says she witnessed the person who took her into the cult kill five children. She knew what she was witnessing was not right, but she feared escaping.
“One of the first programs that was done on me, was he had me breathing and go through and elaborate visualization of my home having just told. ‘Hey you just told people about me. You just told who you really are. So what do you see hanging from the rafters? I shrug my shoulders. He said ‘Do you see that is your mother? Do you see that her blood is all over the floor?”
What Teal shared with Oswalt is the focus of dozens of investigations around the country. Lt. Larry Jones, a former Boise Police officer, was instrumental in a Department of Justice report on cult rituals. The report admits these crimes are hard to prove, but says it is imperative the cases be solved. In most documented cases of ritual abuse, the FBI says it is often a close friend or family who commits the crime.
Teal told Oswalt that she truly believes what she shared happened to her….
Teal says she was taken in at age six. She escaped during a ritual in Eastern Idaho when she was 19. She left the state and found refuge with her friend in Utah. Teal says things started to turn around from there, but it took time….
Teals interview with FOX/ABC in Boise, Idaho discussing the prevalence of Satanic Ritual Abuse. First aired on 30th October 2014.
Ex-FAMU band member convicted in hazing death
By Crimesider Staff AP October 31, 2014
ORLANDO, Fla. – A jury has convicted a former Florida A&M University band member of manslaughter and felony hazing in the death of a drum major who prosecutors say was brutally beaten during a hazing ritual aboard a bus.
The jury convicted 27-year-old Dante Martin Friday of Robert Champion’s death after deliberating for a short time. The charge carries a punishment of up to 15 years in prison. The 26-year-old Champion died almost three years ago in Orlando….
Prosecutors said Martin was the ringleader of the hazing. A medical examiner said Champion died of internal bleeding caused by severe bruising.

More disturbing details have emerged about the abuse June “Mama June” Shannon’s kids suffered at the hands of her then-live-in boyfriend Mark McDaniel.
According to newly released court documents, not just Anna Cardwell- – who has spoken about McDaniel molesting her– was affected by the pedophile her mother was dating. The documents posted by Radar Online reveal Shannon’s then three-year-old daughter had to watch McDaniel sexually abuse her older sister.
A police report from 2004 details an interview Cardwell, now 20, had with an official from the Division of Family and Children Services. In the interview, Cardwell stated that she was forced to have sex with McDaniel.
“Anna then stated that her sister… is in the bed with them when this is going on,” the court documents detail….
Cardwell, who now has a child of her own, told People magazine her mother didn’t believe her when she spoke out about the abuse. According to court documents, she first revealed what she had gone through to a teacher at her school.
“A week or so after it happened, I talked to Mama and she was upset, crying and saying, ‘I don’t believe you,'” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘Mama, he did that to me and I can’t do anything about it. You were never there to see it. You were always at work.'”
McDaniel went to jail for aggravated child molestation and was released in March. He has since been photographed with June Shannon, which prompted TLC to cancel “Honey Boo Boo.”
Witnesses: FAMU hazing suspect led ritual on bus
Wednesday, October 29, 2014
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Florida A&M band member being tried on hazing charges in the death of a drum major was the ring leader and decided who could participate in the initiation ritual, two former band members said Wednesday.
Former band member Lizette Sanchez testified that Dante Martin decided who was allowed to participate in the hazing ritual known as “crossing Bus C.” She said she initially decided she wasn’t going to take part her sophomore year in 2011, but changed her mind in an effort to end shunning from older band members who called her a “bad upperclassman” for not having done it.
“I felt like I was breaking a tradition,” Sanchez said.
She completed the ritual shortly before Robert Champion of Decatur, Georgia, went through it following a football game in November 2011. Champion died from injuries sustained during the ritual, which involved getting kicked, punched and hit with band instruments. Martin is charged with manslaughter and hazing in the incident….

In Cold War, U.S. Spy Agencies Used 1,000 Nazis
By ERIC LICHTBLAU OCT. 26, 2014
WASHINGTON — In the decades after World War II, the C.I.A. and other United States agencies employed at least a thousand Nazis as Cold War spies and informants and, as recently as the 1990s, concealed the government’s ties to some still living in America, newly disclosed records and interviews show.
At the height of the Cold War in the 1950s, law enforcement and intelligence leaders like J. Edgar Hoover at the F.B.I. and Allen Dulles at the C.I.A. aggressively recruited onetime Nazis of all ranks as secret, anti-Soviet “assets,” declassified records show. They believed the ex-Nazis’ intelligence value against the Russians outweighed what one official called “moral lapses” in their service to the Third Reich.
The agency hired one former SS officer as a spy in the 1950s, for instance, even after concluding he was probably guilty of “minor war crimes.”
And in 1994, a lawyer with the C.I.A. pressured prosecutors to drop an investigation into an ex-spy outside Boston implicated in the Nazis’ massacre of tens of thousands of Jews in Lithuania, according to a government official….
In 1980, F.B.I. officials refused to tell even the Justice Department’s own Nazi hunters what they knew about 16 suspected Nazis living in the United States.
The bureau balked at a request from prosecutors for internal records on the Nazi suspects, memos show, because the 16 men had all worked as F.B.I. informants, providing leads on Communist “sympathizers.” Five of the men were still active informants….
Some spies for the United States had worked at the highest levels for the Nazis.
One SS officer, Otto von Bolschwing, was a mentor and top aide to Adolf Eichmann, architect of the “Final Solution,” and wrote policy papers on how to terrorize Jews.
Yet after the war, the C.I.A. not only hired him as a spy in Europe, but relocated him and his family to New York City in 1954, records show. The move was seen as a “a reward for his loyal postwar service and in view of the innocuousness of his [Nazi] party activities,” the agency wrote….
When Israeli agents captured Eichmann in Argentina in 1960, Otto von Bolschwing went to the C.I.A. for help because he worried they might come after him, memos show.
Agency officials were worried as well that Mr. von Bolschwing might be named as Eichmann’s “collaborator and fellow conspirator and that the resulting publicity may prove embarrassing to the U.S.” a C.I.A. official wrote….
In all, the American military, the C.I.A., the F.B.I. and other agencies used at least 1,000 ex-Nazis and collaborators as spies and informants after the war, according to Richard Breitman, a Holocaust scholar at American University who was on a government-appointed team that declassified war-crime records.
The full tally of Nazis-turned-spies is probably much higher, said Norman Goda, a University of Florida historian on the declassification team, but many records remain classified even today, making a complete count impossible.
“U.S. agencies directly or indirectly hired numerous ex-Nazi police officials and East European collaborators who were manifestly guilty of war crimes,” he said. “Information was readily available that these were compromised men.”….
When the Justice Department was preparing in 1994 to prosecute a senior Nazi collaborator in Boston named Aleksandras Lileikis, the C.I.A. tried to intervene.
The agency’s own files linked Mr. Lileikis to the machine-gun massacres of 60,000 Jews in Lithuania. He worked “under the control of the Gestapo during the war,” his C.I.A. file noted, and “was possibly connected with the shooting of Jews in Vilna.”
Even so, the agency hired him in 1952 as a spy in East Germany — paying him $1,700 a year, plus two cartons of cigarettes a month — and cleared the way for him to immigrate to America four years later, records show….

Florida hazing trial begins in college marching band death
By Barbara Liston
ORLANDO Fla. Mon Oct 27, 2014 1
(Reuters) – Three years after the beating death of a Florida college band member brought national attention to its hazing rituals, the alleged ringleader of the abuse went on trial on Monday for manslaughter.
….a former member of the Florida A&M University’s celebrated “Marching 100” band, faces hazing charges for his role in the death of Robert Champion, a band drum major.
….Fourteen band members have faced charges for punching, kicking and striking Champion during a hazing ritual known as “Crossing Bus C.” Most received probation and community service in plea deals. Charges were dismissed against a fifteenth person….
Champion’s death was ruled a homicide by a medical examiner, who found he died of hemorrhagic shock resulting from blunt force trauma after running through a gauntlet of band members beating him on the darkened bus.
Champion had long refused to engage in the band’s hazing rituals, but ultimately decided to participate in what witnesses called an attempt to gain respect….
Church of England to examine 1950s records in child abuse investigation
Justin Welby says personnel files will be searched for allegations of abuse as study into confessional confidentiality also launched
Michael White and Rajeev Syal
The Guardian, Monday 27 October 2014
The Church of England is examining the personnel files of thousands of clergymen and women dating back to the 1950s as part of a wide-ranging investigation into historical allegations of child abuse, the archbishop of Canterbury has confirmed.
The Most Rev Justin Welby, the principal leader of the Church of England, said that the move is part of a renewed effort to ensure that there are no allegations of abuse which have been ignored, overlooked or covered up.
Following recent disclosures of evidence of child abuse within the church, Welby conceded that the investigations would show that “there is more that has not been revealed”…..

Three Suspects Arrested After Skeletal Remains Found in North Carolina Backyard
By Alex Heigl 10/10/2014
For the neighbors of 2749 Knob Hill Drive in Clemmons, North Carolina, the Devil lived next door.
Or at least one very devoted and misled fan. Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, was arrested Sunday following the discovery of skeletal remains in shallow graves in his backyard. He has been charged with murder and accessory after the fact, as has Amber Nicole Burch, 24, (described as Algarad’s wife on Facebook) and 28-year-old Krystal Nicole Matlock, who has only been charged as an accessory.
Born John Alexander Lawson in San Francisco, California, Algarad dropped out of high school and changed his name to reflect a new identity he was carving for himself. He adopted the name of Pazuzu – the demon at the center of The Exorcist – and cultivated a personality that was “a combination of Charles Manson, Anton LeVay and Alistair Crowley,” according to Camel City Dispatch. He began claiming Iraqi descent (friending real Middle Eastern jihadists on Facebook), and reportedly filed his teeth into points with a Dremel tool.
For people around Clemmons, Algarad was the local boogeyman. The house on Knob Hill (belonging to Algarad’s mother, who lived with him and Burch and is legally blind) featured a front door ominously painted black and festooned with upside-down crosses, Arabic script (that apparently read “The House of Devils”) and a long diatribe against police. A message board post from 2013 described it as “disgusting,” with refuse – human and animal – littering the floor and an overpowering odor.
One source told Camel City Dispatch that Algarad’s home was filled with “Hot Topic Satan stuff” and that “There was something about him that just made me feel terrible … Just his presence made me feel uneasy.” Another source described Lawson’s Satanic activities: Mutual blood-letting in local cemeteries, attempted arson of several churches and animal sacrifices, the latter of which were confirmed by law enforcement.
Algarad’s crimes ventured into the more prosaic, as well: In 2010, he was accused of choking his mother, who told police she was afraid of him and didn’t want to press charges, according to The Winston-Salem Journal. Also in 2010, Algarad was charged in connection with the shooting death of 30-year-old Joseph Emmrick Chandler, whose body was found at a local park near the Yadkin River, dead of a gunshot wound. He was convicted in 2012 as an accessory after the fact, according to multiple reports, and was on probation from that conviction when the bodies were found Sunday….
Police continue investigation of house where skeletal remains found
House was searched in 2010 but warrant is sealed
Monday, October 6, 2014 Michael Hewlett/Winston-Salem Journal
CLEMMONS – On the front door of a house where the skeletal remains of two people were found Sunday was a sign warning law-enforcement not to enter.
“No gang members allowed: anyone that dresses the same, has the same badge and call themselves the authority of the land they did not create…,” the sign said. Below and to the right is a picture of a skull and cross bones. Under that picture are the words, “Evil will triumph.”
But on Monday, deputies with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office as well as agents with the State Bureau of Investigation were still at 2749 Knob Hill Drive, where the skeletal remains of two unidentified people were found in shallow graves in the backyard on Sunday. Few details have emerged about what led authorities to the house on Sunday and what they have found, beyond the skeletal remains….
Pazuzu Algarad was born in San Francisco as John Alexander Lawson. Lawson changed his name to Pazuzu Algarad in 2002 for religious reasons. Pazuzu is the name of an Assyrian demon whose name was used in the movie, “The Exorcist.”….
However, in 2010, Algarad was charged with accessory after the fact of involuntary manslaughter in connection to the shooting death of Joseph Emmrick Chandler. Chandler had been reported missing and his body was found June 7, 2010 at Donnaha Park near the Yadkin River. He had died from a gunshot wound. Nicholas Pasquale Rizzi of Lewisville was charged with involuntary manslaughter….
Pazuzu Algarad Arrested; Skeletal Remains Found In Yard Of ‘Evil Gods’ Worshiper
The Huffington Post By Sebastian Murdock 10/06/2014
Two North Carolina residents have been arrested after police allegedly found the skeletal remains of two people buried in a shallow grave in the couple’s back yard.
Pazuzu Illah Algarad, 35, and Amber Nicole Burch, 24, were both arrested Sunday after police executed a search warrant and found the remains, according to WXII….
Heath said Algarad told her he picked up two prostitutes at two separate locations before he killed and ate them, burning the remains in a fire pit before burying the rest.
“I never once saw the skeleton bodies, I honestly thought he was lying, now I’m not sure what to believe,” Heath said.
In an online message board discussing Algarad’s past conviction, an anonymous poster said the suspect had spoken of burying dead bodies. The post is dated 2012:
“He has bragged to other members of my family about sick things he has done and told them he has killed other people and has buried other bodies.”….
On his Facebook page, Pazuzu has a large collection of pictures featuring demonic creatures and upside down crosses. Heath described Pazuzu as a worshipper of “evil gods.”
Former football player tells of the night he was allegedly raped by his teammate
By AISHA DOW Oct. 19, 2014
The burly young Victorian footballer sits hunched and crying in the bath as his mother scrubs frantically to remove the words “whore” and “slut”, which have been scrawled upon his naked body in lipstick.
It has been years since Ben, 21, has cried. But today the tears wiggle down his face and into the stained bathwater, as the Warrandyte seconds player heaves and sobs like a child.
The night before the biological science student had been staying at a teammate’s house when he says he was repeatedly attacked by a group of older players….
Australian experts believe that male-to-male abuse within sporting clubs could be as prevalent as in other masculine environments, such as the military, where crimes have been well documented….
Sexual assaults linked to team bonding also regularly make headlines in the United States. In Vermont, high school football players reportedly sexually assaulted younger players with broomsticks or pool cues.
Australian research has shown that only about 35 per cent of recent sexual assault victims report the crime to police. Ms Worth said the proportion of silent victims could be even higher for male victims assaulted by their sporting teammates.
Men who have been raped typically stayed silent, Ms Worth says, because they feel humiliated and worried what people will think of them. “Then there’s the perception that this is not something that happens to ‘real blokes’ – it happens to girls.”
Yet, Dr Michael Flood, an expert in gender issues, says there has been a long history of men being “initiated” into workplaces through practices that involve peoples’ genitals or bodies. Dr Flood, who has worked on studies for the AFL, said sometimes these rituals slide into sexual assault.
The term “hazing” is most often used to describe college initiations in the United States, he says. In Australia and the Australian Defence Force in particular, acts commonly involving “physically stressful and ritualistic practices” have been better known as bastardisation….
Male sexual assault expert Sarah Crome says men who had been sexually assaulted as adults tend to experience similar effects as female survivors, including psychiatric disorders and relationship and behavioural problems.
“Self harming and compulsive behaviour including self-mutilation, reckless behaviour like driving dangerously, drug and alcohol abuse and work addiction are widespread complaints. Suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts are not uncommon,” she says.
Dr Flood said men who had been sexually abused in hazing rituals were also likely to be dealing with some distinct troubles. “Being assaulted by peers as part of behaviour that is semi-public and condoned would add to the trauma and distress of the experience,” he said….
